The contact form is not a secure or encrypted channel and is not monitored for emergencies. Please avoid sharing sensitive clinical details or crisis information through the form — a phone call is a better option for anything urgent or sensitive before you're an established client.

Once you become a client, all clinical information — including what's discussed in session, assessment records, and treatment plans — is protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Louisiana confidentiality law. This information is kept in a secure electronic health record system and is not disclosed without written consent, except in a small number of situations required or permitted by law, such as:

• A serious, immediate threat of harm to yourself or someone else
• Suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or dependent adult, as mandated by law
• A valid court order or legal requirement
• Coordination with insurance or billing, only where applicable and only to the extent necessary

A complete, formal HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices — detailing your specific rights, including the right to access and request corrections to your records — is provided in writing and reviewed together during intake.

Sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Sessions are never recorded, and care is taken to conduct every session from a private, confidential setting on this end as well.

Social Media Policy

How social media fits into care

To protect your privacy and keep the counseling relationship clear, no friend, follow, or connection requests are accepted from current or former clients on personal social media accounts. If a business page exists for the practice, liking, following, or commenting on it is entirely optional and never expected — but please know that any public interaction with a mental health practice's page (a like, a follow, a comment) may be visible to others, so there's no expectation of privacy in that kind of engagement.

Client confidentiality is never confirmed or denied on social media, in reviews, or in any public forum — even in response to a kind review. That's not personal distance, it's a HIPAA protection that applies to every client equally, regardless of what they choose to post publicly.

Client accounts, posts, or public profiles are never viewed or researched as part of care, and social media is never used to communicate about scheduling, billing, or anything clinical — please use phone, email, or the client portal for all of that instead.
